Today I put my writing skills to the test. I told a lot of stories in my writing. I had a little bit of a late start, but I was able to still finish everything.
First, I did three Daily Creates. Here was mine for Monday. The task was to show something with the beginning and the end.
On Tuesday, the task was to feed the bot something random.
On Wednesday, the Daily Create was to show your shoes!
Then, I wrote my blog post analyzing a story. I wrote about my favorite movie, Jumanji. It was interesting to look at in a way that wasn’t surface level. In a way, it made me appreciate the movie more. Next, I started my writing assignments. I did five of them to equal the 12 stars.
The first writing assignment I completed was writing a mythical haiku. I wrote about Hades and Persephone. This didn’t take much time at all, but it took time deciding which myth I wanted to write about. The second assignment I did, was writing a poem about my day. I went through a rollercoaster of emotions that day, and I think that is portrayed in my poetry. I am actually pretty proud of it because I have never been a good poet. Next, I wrote about peer pressure and nonconformity. This assignment really made me think. I mainly talked about societal pressure rather than peer pressure. The fourth assignment was to write from a non-human perspective. I wrote from the perspective of the cat that roams my neighborhood. This was probably my favorite assignment I completed. I loved trying to get in the mind of a cat. Lastly, I wrote a story and then also wrote it shortened in one tweet. I really liked this because it shows that you can tell the same story in different ways. I wrote about having a twin sister and what we have gone through.
Writing isn’t my strong suit, but I actually enjoyed storytelling in this way. I also got the chance to write some comments, receive some comments, and reply to the comments I have received. I can’t wait to see what next week holds.
